T -10 hours 46 minutes

Today was incredible.

Stevie got dressed up in her troll costume and we went out to Point Dume, a beach up in Malibu. We climbed all across the rocks and had waves crashing all around and stood on places that were too small to stand. I never knew there could be so many colors of blue at the same time.

We took lunch a Hugo's, a small restaurant down the road from the apartment. Stevie managed to rack up a few looks in her costume, and the guy across from us had on an amazing green, straw fedora.

We stopped in Topanga Canyon on the way to the beach and ran into a small second hand store where, as fate would have it, there was a green, straw fedora. Well Stevie got it for me as a present, and as it turns out it's not straw but braided paper.

So the climbing around the rocks was increadible, and I'll be putting up pictures when I make it back to Texas. For the record, a paper fedora stands up rather well to the wind and the ocean (yeah, after making such a big deal about it being paper, we didn't think about the fact we were going to the ocean...)

Then it was off to a Mediterrainian restaurant that was wonderful, then home to shower, pack, and watch Love Actually with Daniel and Stevie.

The neighbors are trying to coax me to stay with promises of introducing me to some high ups in the Magic Castle who are taking voice acting lessons from a friend of ours. That and other things. There are some really great people here, and I'll miss them.

So,  it's off to bed. I've got to be up at 6:30 to be ready to leave by 7:30 to get to Longbeach in time for check-in, followed by a long day of traveling. Hopefully there will be some sort of alcohol at the end of it!
